April Rouveyrol - Writer/Director of SHY

Los Angeles-based writer, April Rouveyrol, made her Film Directing debut with the Short, SHY in 2008. SHY played the international festival circuit, (including PALM SPRINGS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, GOLD LION FILM FESTIVAL, STRASBOURG FILM FESTIVAL, URBANWORLD FILM FESTIVAL, and WON BEST SHORT FILM in several including the RADAR HAMBURG INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL. Born and raised in New York City, she comes from a background as a Playwright and Theatre Producer. She was a member of the heralded, Los Angeles-based theatre company, THE WILTON PROJECT. THE WILTON PROJECT produced several of her plays including. NUMB TO THE FLICKER, A KINK IN THE RELEASE and PERSONS UNKNOWN IN A ROOM ABOVE SUNSET.

April recently completed her first screenplay, AMERICAN CHILD, which is based on her short film SHY. AMERICAN CHILD won GRAND PRIZE in the 2010 CINESTORY SCREENPLAY COMPETITION, GRAND PRIZE in the 2010 NEVADA FILM OFFICE SCREENPLAY COMPETITION, was a TOP TEN FINALIST in the 2010 AMERICAN ZOETROPE SCREENPLAY COMPETITION and is also an advancing Semi Finalist for this year’s NICHOLL FELLOWSHIP.

April is currently finishing an original sci fi thriller spec, and is developing her next spec project

Avery Drewe - Producer

Avery Drewe is a 1984 graduate of the USC school of Cinema Television, where he was a member of the last class to make and edit their movies in the old horse stables used for the 1932 Olympics. He is a proud member of the Producer’s Guild of America He has been fortunate enough to be Associate Producer, or Producer of over 450 episodes of one hour dramas for television. He is a convinced that it is more difficult to produce one season of one hour dramas then it is to produce a single movie. He enjoyed and was refreshed during every second of producing Shy alongside writer/director April Rouveyrol.

Charles Papert - Director of Photography / Co-Producer

Charles Papert's many credits as a sought-after 1st and 2nd unit Director of Photography, camera operator and Steadicam operator include the powerful "American History X", the cult favorite "Office Space" and the TV series such as "ER" and "The West Wing". He also co-created the weekend film festival "Instant Films" and has executive produced over 175 films made in 48 hours.

Kevin Koster - 1st AD

Kevin Koster has been working as an assistant director in episodic television since 1996. He has worked on multiple series, including JAG, FIRST MONDAY, E RING, BONES, DRIVE and currently, PRIVATE PRACTICE. He is a graduate of the DGA Assistant Director Training Program and an alumnus of the Department of Drama at UC Berkeley.

David Lloyd started in NYC editing TV commercials, documentaries, and features. Since moving to Hollywood, he has continued editing many theatrical trailers, and 18 feature Films.


Michael "Inno" McCain

Born and raised in South Los Angeles, California, Hip Hop Sensation, INNO was destined to become a star. In 2006 Inno penned the Jammx Kid's first single "Keep U Dancin", Produced by Multi Platinum Hip Hop and R&B producer Antwan "Amadeus" Thompson. The single "Keep U Dancin" went on to gain commercial success with exposure from Radio Disney and a video which features NBA superstar Shaquille O'neal. Since then, INNO has also sourced music for the Original version of the Gospel Musical "Zoey" , Indepedent films such as "SHY" ,and has worked with numerous successful producers; Boss Beat's, Oji Pierce, Hypnotik, Ben Franklin, Stephen Edwards, Roger Larocque, Gold Fingaz and many more.

Rara Avis

Rara combines over 15 years of multi-genre musical study with an intuitive understanding of modern technology. His classical training partnered with his passion for electronic dance music, results in original lush downtempo compositions fuelled with psychedelic guitar, vocals, and a healthy dose of improvisation from his instrumental roots. RaRa also co-produces for collaborations with Craig Kohland, Micheline Berry,Amani Friend Treavor, Moontribe, Shaman's Dream and many others.

Abhiman Kaushal (TABLA PLAYER)

Abhiman Kaushal is an outstanding tabla artist who is much sought after for his sensitive accompaniment and intense solo playing. He represents the Farukkabad and Lucknow styles of tabla. Having been initiated into the art by his father R. B. Kaushal, who was a disciple of the legendary Ustad Amir Hussain Khan, Abhiman later continued his training under the famous Ustad Sheikh Dawood of Hyderabad, India, and the Ustad's senior most disciple, Pandit B. Nandkumar. Abhiman has accompanied most of the leading musicians, singers and dancers of North Indian classical music. He has toured around the world performing in prestigious venues. He has numerous recordings and world music collaborations. He has recorded a soundtrack for National Geographc's Man Eaters of North India, for Zoolander movie and has performed for MTV's Aerosmith icon show in front of a live audience. Recently he was the solo featured musician for the acclaimed electronic dance drama Ramayana 2k3 which won rave reviews in Los Angeles and New York City.

Seth Landsberg (Tabla Accompanist)

Seth is a World Traveler, Art Collector, and Musician. He first fell in love with the Tabla while living in India in his Twenties. The Tabla has been a passion ever since. He studies under the formidable Tabla player, Abhiman Kaushal.

Andre Gonzalez

A Los Angeles based Photographer, Graphic Designer and Musician. He has been playing acoustic and electric guitar since he was 9. He enjoyed working with Roger and Peter on the score for SHY, and played the Fender acoustically to come up with an urban edgy yet melodic sound which suited the character of Javi.

Peter Andrews

Peter Andrews, guitarist and composer, has an extensive list of film and television credits, both as songwriter and instrumentalist, and has written collaboratively with Academy Award-, Grammy-winning and platinum-selling artists. Although his main instrument is guitar, his soundtrack work also includes keyboards and numerous fretted instruments. His acoustic blues solos were featured in the multiple-Emmy-winning “Miss Evers Boys,” starring Alfre Woodard and Laurence Fishburne.

Some other actors whose screen appearances have included Andrews' musical work are Timothy Bottoms, Charles Bronson, Peter Fonda, Steve McQueen, Cybill Shepherd, Don Johnson, Val Kilmer, Charles Durning, Gary Busey, Annette O'Toole, Johnny Cash, June Carter Cash, Cleavant Derricks, and Kiefer Sutherland. Andrews studied music theory and composition at UC Santa Barbara, and also had the good fortune to study early on with Tiny Moore (of the legendary Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys), and jazz icon Barney Kessell.
